The Challenge

A customer needed a solution to conveniently carry the tools necessary to make a routine repairs or respond to service calls.

The Solution

We designed a backpack that allows hands-free, low-stress carrying of the required tool set. Individual pockets provide a home to each tool for optimal organization. The backpack is also customized to match the customer’s color palette.

Contemporary Sling for Mobile Payment Devices

The Challenge

A major fashion retailer was planning to implement the latest mobile touch-screen computer. However, a secondary device would be used as a mobile payment accessory. The two units needed to be carried by the associate in a customer-facing fashion.

The Solution

The solution needed to be stylish. We used high-end leather construction with a cotton strap and brass hardware. The accent stitching was small and highlighted every detail. The large pocket was designed for the main device, and a smaller pocket closer to the strap was for the payment accessory. The sling was ergonomically designed for cross-body wearing.

Alternative Briefcase Design

The Challenge

IBM was looking for a functional case for the latest technology of the time: a laptop computer. With a new smaller form factor, it was no longer necessary to have a tabletop-fold-open briefcase for storing and retrieving the laptop.

The Solution

We worked with our customer to develop one of the very first “stand-up” briefcases in the industry. The case could rest upright on the floor, and easily open from that position for retrieval of its contents. This design has forever changed the world of business travel and working through seminars.

Protective Carry Case

The Challenge

The technicians of a leading corrosion monitoring technology company needed to carry equipment while climbing a ladder or evaluating pipes. This equipment needed to function while encased in a protective bag. Key design requirements were protection, portability, and one-handed retrieval of instruments.

The Solution

We designed a protective case that remains vertical while carrying and retrieving instruments. While climbing, it is unlikely that the sturdy case will tip over, keeping all components secured in individual compartments. A handle is incorporated for carrying on the field, and D-rings are included for an optional shoulder strap.

A safety company shared the same desire to leave a reminder with their customers. Having seen our Leather Business Card Case, they came to us for a custom solution, something that would fit their industry.

The Solution

Using reflective materials and safety-indicative colors, we created a safety themed Business Card Case complete with the customer’s full-color logo. These are handed out at trade shows and other meet-and-greet events.

The Challenge

The manufacturer of the QuickAir Emergency Escape Breathing Apparatus came to AGORA for a protective carry case for the device. The device is approved for escape from atmospheres that have become immediately dangerous to life or health.

The Solution

The user-friendly solution is universally designed to be worn over either shoulder, across the chest, or around the neck. Illustrated instructions are screened on the bag to demonstrate how to use the unit. The highly-visible orange case is made of a flexible PVC that resists flame, chemicals, mildew, and ultraviolet rays.

The Solution

An OP Case was designed with a removable heating element. The display remains fully accessible beneath a urethane window, with a FaceProtect flap when not in use.

Insulated Jacket for Spray Gun

The Challenge

In manufacturing environments there are many instances where a sprayed substance is required for assembly. This is mostly some form of adhesive. The high temperature needed to heat these adhesives to a sprayable consistency can pose a safety threat to any employees near the machine. Also, the machine needs to be insulated to reach and maintain that temperature.

The Solution

Materials are key to the solution. Fiber glass and Aramid materials are used in the construction of these insulating jackets; stainless steel Velcro and Kevlar thread also resist the heat. Each product is custom designed to provide a tight and contoured fit to each unit. The jacket provides a protective barrier for the heat and helps to prevent injuries to the operators.
